About EVOmedia

Built for the transition, not for one side of it

EVO is three things at once: evolution, electric vehicle, and media. That is not a naming coincidence — it is the actual position. We market the industry as it is now, mid-change, rather than as it was or as it will eventually be.

Why we exist

Most agencies picked a side

EVOmedia was built around the shift to electric vehicles, drawing on experience marketing traditional internal combustion product. That combination is deliberate and it is rarer than it sounds.

The agencies that came up through EV tend to be evangelical — fluent in the technology, weak on the commercial mechanics of vehicle retail, and instinctively dismissive of the buyer who is not yet convinced. The long-established automotive agencies have the opposite problem: they know the retail machine intimately and treat electrification as a trim level.

Neither is much use to a brand whose buyers are still deciding. And in Australia, most buyers still are. Range, charging access, running costs, resale, towing, regional distance — these are legitimate questions that deserve straight answers rather than either enthusiasm or dismissal.

So we do both, properly. Petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric. Vehicles, parts and bikes. Which means when we argue a case, we understand what we are arguing against.

How we work

Six things we hold to

These are not values on a wall. Each one is a decision we have made about how the agency operates, and each one costs us something.

01

Diagnose before prescribing

An agency that recommends the service it happens to sell is not giving advice. If your problem is response time, stock presentation or product, we will say so — even where that means a smaller engagement.

02

Concede what is true

Charging outside the capitals is genuinely uneven. Some EV use cases are not ready. Some aftermarket claims do not survive scrutiny. Brands that acknowledge honest limits earn the right to be believed on everything else.

03

Measure what pays

Impressions and cheap form fills are easy to buy and easy to report. We tier lead quality and feed real outcomes back into the platforms, so the metric that improves is the one attached to revenue.

04

You own everything

Ad accounts, pixels, audiences, analytics, creative working files, documentation. All yours, from day one. If we part ways, nothing has to be rebuilt and nothing is held for leverage.

05

Write it down

Conversion definitions, lead tiers, response standards, reporting cadence, escalation paths. Agreed in writing before launch. Most agency relationships fail on an assumption nobody documented.

06

No category tourism

We do not need fitment, co-op funding, LAMS pathways or DMS routing explained. That is not a boast — it is the three months of ramp-up you do not have to pay for.

Fit

Where we are not the right agency

Being clear about this saves everyone a month. If you recognise your situation here, we will happily point you somewhere better suited.

  • Brands wanting a large agency with a large agency’s process overhead
  • Work that requires us to overclaim on safety, ratings or performance
  • Retainers where the deliverable is activity rather than an outcome
  • A second agency inside a network where we already have a conflict

Where we work

Australia-wide, run out of Melbourne

We work with brands, distributors and retailers across Australia. Media, strategy and digital run remotely without friction. Production and activations travel — vehicle shoots, ride days, shows and dealer launches happen wherever the vehicles and the audience are.
